What Do Bed Bugs Look Like?
If you think you might have bed bugs in your home, it is important to be able to identify them. Bed bugs actually look different at different stages of their life cycle. However, they are usually always around three millimeters long. An adult bed bug is oval shaped and brown or reddish brown in color. An adult bed bug will also be very thin and flat, which is how they are able to squeeze into tight places. After a bed bug feeds, their bodies will get longer and redder in color.
In the nymph stage, a bed bug is tan, white, yellow, or nearly transparent and will of course be much smaller than an adult. But no matter what stage of life they are in, they feed on blood.
